Fisher & Paykel was (and is) a well known household name throughout New Zealand, but these days its white ware only but back in 1970's there was a range of audio products released under the F&P brand manufactured by Allied Industries under license to Rank/Bush/Murphy in England and AWA so there was definitely a bit of brand cross-breeding at this stage of the game.
The majority of these were radio grams and turntable/amplifier consoles with a range of speakers to suit and they were aimed at the more affordable end of the scale for the masses. Almost every home had a Fisher Paykel product of some kind during this period.
There still seems to be a few of what was made that is still around, probably attributes to the larger volume of how many were made. Will add more information/images as they come to light.
